Re-Elect a Judge
who Believes in Accountability, Fairness, and Integrity.

Vote for Experience

With over 20 years on the bench, Judge Branstool brings a well-balanced range and depth of experience. From serious criminal cases to complex civil cases, Judge Branstool has decided literally thousands of cases and applies the law fairly and impartially.

“It is a privilege to be a judge in this county because I thoroughly enjoy the trial process. No other institution in government, at any level, rivals the jury when it comes to placing power so directly in the hands of its citizens. As a trial judge, I have the privilege of doing what the Constitution demands and the public expects; to try cases and participate in the purest form of democracy there is.”

Vote for a Commitment to Justice

Judge Branstool has spent his entire career protecting and defending the Constitution. He has presided over nearly 275 jury trials and understands that jury trials are one of the most important functions of our justice system.

Jury trials provide an opportunity for ordinary people to participate in the process of governing. Too many judges see jury trials as a failure of the justice system, Judge Branstool sees them as a cornerstone of it. That’s why he is one of the few judges who allows jurors to ask questions of witnesses during the trial to ensure that they can fully participate in deciding important cases.

“Jury service makes people better citizens. There is no better counterbalance to the erosion of public confidence in the justice system than having people themselves decide these important questions. It requires citizens to examine and re-evaluate our commitment to the values that have been enshrined in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Jury service restores people’s trust in the integrity of the justice system.
